07/01/08 - Braves Too Much for Gatemen - Win Big 13-4

Jordan Henry (Mississippi) went an incredible 6 for 7 with 4 runs scored and an rbi; including a single a on the first pitch of the game as the Braves never looked back and went on to crush the Gatemen at Spillane Field 13-4.  The Braves scored a run in the first, 6 runs in the 6th and 4 runs in the 7th; putting on an offensive display.  Kyle Roller was the other offensive star on the night for the Braves; collecting 2 hits and 4 rbi.

 

Wareham starting pitcher Robby Broach (Tulane) pitched 5 innings and allowed 3 earned runs but relief pitchers Jimmy Saris (Georgetown) and Zach Brewster (Georgia Tech) gave up 4 runs apiece; allowing Bourne to break the game wide open.

 

Cole Leonida (Georgia Tech) had another fine offensive night by going 2 for 4 with 2 rbi and Brett Eibner (Arkansas) hit a long homerun; his first of the season.

 

The last place Gatemen fall to 4-9-1 on the season.
