Brandon Workman was drafted in the 3rd round in the 2007 MLB draft by Philadelphia. Was a Louisville Slugger All-American as a senior compiling a 10-2 record with a 0.91 era with an astounding 171 strikeouts in 76 innings.  He returns to the Gatemen after a stellar season on the Cape last year where he led the CCBL in strikeouts and was named to the All-Star team.  Baseball America named him the 5th best prospect on Cape Cod.  This season for Texas, Brandon threw the 21st no-hitter in the long and storied history of Longhorn baseball.  He is one of three UT pitchers that are on the Gatemen roster and one of two that are in the Texas starting rotation.  As of May 1st, he has a 3-3 record and has struck out 58 batters in 58 innings.
