David Fischer was drafted by the Los Angeles Angels before decided to attend UCONN.  He participated in the Junior Olympic Nationals in 2004 & 2006.  Through May 1st this season, David has made 13 appearances; including 3 starts for the Huskies during his freshman season.  He has a 2.97 era and a 1-0 record.  David has struck out 24 hitters in his 30.1 innings of work this season.  He will join 3 Husky teammates at Spillane Field this summer on Cape Cod.
