Dean Kiekhefer was originally signed to the '08 Gatemen roster but didn't make it to the Cape due to injury.  However, Wareham is looking forward to showcasing this talented "southpaw" at Spillane Field this summer. Dean was drafted in the 37th round by the Cleveland Indians out of high after a stellar senior year in HS where he led the state of Kentucky in ERA at 0.28.   This season for the Cardinals, he has started and come out of the bullpen; making 11 total appearance thru May 1st; compiling a 3-4 record and a 5.62 era.  Dean has struck out 37 batters in 40 total innigs pitched.
