Orleans Comeback Results in 3rd Straight Loss for Wareham

A 2-0 lead disappeared in the 4th inning as the Orleans Cardinals scored 3 in the bottom of the 4th and added another run in the 6th to defeat the Wareham Gatemen 4-2 in front of 2,506 at Eldredge Park in Orleans. Read full story

Cesario Single in 9th Propels Falmouth over Wareham

For the second consecutive night, the opponent's leadoff hitter proved too much to handle as AJ Pollock (Notre Dame) went 5 for 5; including a double in the 9th and a run scored when Jimmy Cesario (Houston) blooped a single into left field to plate what proved to be the winning run for the Commodores.  Read full story

Pair of Gatemen Among 2008 Cape Cod Baseball League Hall of Fame Class

The 2008 Cape Cod Baseball League has announced the inductees for the CCBL Hall of Fame and former Gatemen right handed pitcher Ben Sheets, who now pitches for the Milwaukee Brewers, and former CCBL MVP Matt Murton from the Chicgao Cubs will be among those being inducted on November 22nd in Chatham.  Read full story

20 Gatemen Selected in 2008 First Year Player Draft

The Cape Cod Baseball League and the Wareham Gatemen were once again represented prominently in the MLB draft as 20 former and current Gatemen players were selected in the 2008 MLB First Year Player Draft.  Three Gatemen were selected in the first round; Ike Davis from Arizona State, Wade Miley from SE Louisiana and Jeremy Bleich from Stanford highlighted the first day of the draft for Wareham.  Read full story.
