Wareham - Brewster Play to 6-6 Tie

Wareham Head Coach Cooper Farris has never shied away from equatinga tie to “kissing your sister.” Well, Wednesday night’s tie in Brewster felt particularly dissatisfying for the Wareham Gatemen, who failed to pick up a win when they most desperately needed one. Read full story

O'Sullivan - Gatemen Hold Off Harwich for 3-2 Win

With their backs against the wall, the Gatemen found a way to stay alive.  Behind eight strong innings from starting pitcher Liam O’Sullivan (Saint Leo), the Gatemen (13-25-1) picked up a huge 3-2 win over the Eastern Division-leading Harwich Mariners. CCBL All- Star Game - Gatemen Sending Five to Doran Park

The Wareham Gatemen will be represented by 5 players at the 52nd Annual Friendly's All-Star Game on Sunday, July 27th.  Kyle Cody (Kentucky) will be the starting pitcher for the CCBL West Squad and his battery-mate will be Christopher Chinea (LSU) who was selected as the starting catcher.  Kramer Roberston (LSU) will be the starting second baseman and Scott Effross (Indiana) and Keaton Aldridge (Memphis) will round out the Gatemen on the All-Star roster.  Read full story  Also check out our All-Star Edition of Gatemen News & Notes as well as Game Day Tips if you are heading to Doran Park.

Falmouth Rallies With 3-Run 9th to Beat Wareham

For the entire night, it felt like the Wareham Gatemen were hanging on by a thread. They led the Falmouth Commodores for the first eight innings of the ballgame despite being outhit thirteen to seven. The Wareham pitchers worked some magic to escape jams in the middle of the game to maintain the Gatemen’s slim lead, but ultimately the Commodores offense would be too much to handle.  Read full story

Gatemen Ride Five-Error, Five-Run Sixth Inning to 6-2 VIctory at Cotuit

For the first time since July 7, the Gatemen scored more than three runs in a ballgame. They did so Friday night in Cotuit while also tallying only two total hits.  On a wild night that saw the Gatemen (12-24-1) plate five runs in an inning without recording a single hit, Wareham picked up a desperately needed 6-2 win over the Kettleers at Lowell Park.
