Jack Armstrong is the son of former MLB and former Gatemen star Jack Armstrong.  He entered Vanderbilt as a highly recruited player after being drafted by the Texas Rangers.  He was repeatedly honored as a top national prospect -- including being named a top 200 prospect by Perfect Game.  Jack played at Spillane Field in 2007 at the Cape Cod Classic.  Through May 1st, he has seen limited action on the mound for the Commodores; making only 5 appearances.
