Tyler Horan is one of two Gatemen players from nearby Middleboro, MA.  The red-shirt sophomore third baseman from Virginia Tech attended Boston College High School where he was an All-Scholastic player. Tyler had a breakout season this year for the Hokies where he started 54 games.  He hit .282 with 15 homers and 41 rbi while committing only 2 errors.  Tyler is expected to play thirdbase for the Gatemen and add some "pop" to the Gatemen lineup.
