WAREHAM- The Gatemen (6-2) hope to make it two in a row as they play the Hyannis Harbor Hawks (4-3) for the first time today at 6:30 p.m. at Spillane Field.
The Gatemen defeated the Chatham Anglers last night by a score of 6-3 in Wareham. LHP Ken Waldichuk picked up his first win of the season as he pitched five innings and did not allow a run. Seven different Gatemen recorded hits and 1B Andrew Vaughn hit his league-leading fourth homer of the year in the first inning.

The Harbor Hawks are on the road for the first time in four games after going 2-1 on a mini-homestand. The Harbor Hawks swept Brewster in a doubleheader on Sunday before losing yesterday 10-4 to the Cotuit Kettleers.
On the season the Harbor Hawks are tied for the worst run differential in the league at minus 14.
Today marks the first of six matchups between Hyannis and Wareham. The Gatemen next play the Harbor Hawks on June 26 in Hyannis.
RHP Connor Lunn (1-0, 2.25 ERA) makes his first start of the season for Wareham. Lunn made his season debut on June 14 against Cotuit. In that outing, Lunn recorded the win pitching four innings and allowing just one run.
RHP Mike Mokma (1-0, 3.60 ERA) from Michigan State is on the hill for the Harbor Hawks tonight. Mokma picked up a win in his Cape season debut as well last time out. Mokma beat the Harwich Mariners on June 14. He allowed two runs over five innings and struck out four.
For the Gatemen, the lineup shifts around today. Two of the regulars, SS Bryson Stott and LF Bryant Packard, have the night off. In their place, new arrival Ryan Kreidler of UCLA will be at shortstop and Dominic Clementi finds himself back in the lineup in right field.
Kreidler played both shortstop and third base this year for the Bruins. He hit .222 over 53 games played.
