Wareham Gatemen players help out in the Wareham public library gardens as part of a Gatemen community service event.
During this visit to the Wareham public library, the players helped in the library gardens. They watered the plants and picked the dead ones as well as picked fresh ingredients to be used in a snack later on.
Gatemen players also helped washed tarps to be used at a later visit for reading to kids outside.
After the players had finished helping in the gardens, the group headed inside where they prepared snacks with the herbs they had picked. They were also given a rundown of the future activities they would be participating in during their next visits.
The players used the plants they picked from the garden such as oregano, chives, basil, and kale to use on the bagels provided by the library for a mid morning snack.
The players in attendance for this community service event were Will Proctor, Jack Ralston, Oliver Dunn, Zach Hart, Jared Horn, Sahid Valenzuela, Luke Roskam, Austin Shenton, Parker Phillips, Andrew Millas, and Pavin Parks.
