Gatemen Players Decorate Cookies with Residents of Keystone Place

July 2, 2018

Wareham Gatemen players took another visit to Keystone Place at Buzzards Bay this morning, July 2, to talk with residents and make cookies.

The morning started with the players introducing themselves to the residents in attendance letting them know their names, schools they attend, field of study at school, and positions on the field.

Once introductions concluded, the players and residents sat around the tables and cut cookie dough into cookies to be baked. After the cookies had finished baking it was time for everyone to decorate.

The players and residents got creative in their decorating. Cookie shapes took the forms of baseballs, gloves, bats and even a snowman made an appearance.

After decorating cookies, the players and residents had the chance to talk with one another about each individual’s season and indulge in the cookies they had just made.

At the end of the morning, the Gatemen players signed autographs in the Gatemen media guide for each of the residents and posed for a picture.

Gatemen players in attendance for this morning’s community service events were Isaac Collins, Connor Lunn, Cody Carroll, Ken Waldichuk, Easton Lucas, Skyler Hunter, Tyler Ahearn, Nathan Florence, and Cade Cavalli.

For Gatemen baseball action, the Bourne Braves visit Spillane Field tonight, July 2. First pitch is scheduled for 6:30pm.

Tonight is also USA Night at the park, so be sure to wear your red, white, and blue.
